Q. How do I search and apply for a position?
A. Choose the program for which you are qualified and click on apply now to view available opportunities in a country in which you can work in legally without sponsorship from Baker Hughes.
Q. I cannot locate an open position that interests me. What should I do?
A. If you do not find a suitable role that interests you, you can create a candidate profile to receive updates on new job postings that match your specific criteria and career interest.
Q. What is a candidate profile?
A. A candidate profile is a summary of your education and career to date. By completing a candidate profile, you can specify the type of role that interests you and receive electronic notifications when new positions are posted. When you apply for a job, the information provided in the candidate profile will automatically be transferred to the application to save time. Please provide as much information as you can about yourself, relevant skills, and work experience.
Q. How do I update my candidate profile?
A. It is possible to make updates to your candidate profile. This can be done by using your username and password to log into the Candidate Profiler.
Q. How can I update my job application?
A. It is only possible to update applications for current open positions. To do this, log into the careers section of the site, using your username and password. Go to My Job Page and select the job you wish to update. Then click View/Edit Submission and make edits as necessary.
Q. How can I track the status of my application?
A. Once your application has been successfully received by the talent acquisition team, you will receive an electronic notification confirming receipt. Application status can be tracked by logging into the careers section using your username and password and going to My Job Page. Here you will be able to follow the status of your application under the Submission Status heading.
Q. How can I view and update an attached file?
A. You can attach a file with the exact same name as the file you previously attached. The system will overwrite the old file.
Q. What should I do if I have forgotten my password?
A. You will need to use the Forgot your Password function to change the password. You will be prompted to enter your email address and username. You will receive a Change Password email and you should then follow the instructions provided.
Q. What should I do if I cannot upload a file?
A. There is a maximum number of files a user can upload. If the maximum number has been reached, you can try deleting or updating a file you've already uploaded.
Q. What should I do if I receive an application error?
A. We apologize for the inconvenience. Many issues will be resolved simply by exiting the application and opening a new session. If this does not solve the issue, please contact RecruitmentBHI@bakerhughes.com detailing the error you are experiencing, along with supporting screen shots.
Q. What if I change my mind about an application I have submitted? What should I do?
A. If you no longer wish to proceed with your application, you can withdraw it at any time. To do this, log into the careers portal using your username and password, then go to My Job Page and locate the requisition you wish to withdraw from. Then click Withdraw Application.
Q. If I have previously withdrawn my application, can I be considered for other career opportunities that arise at Baker Hughes?
A. Yes. You can apply to any open requisition within Baker Hughes. Your application and suitability to the role will be reviewed for that requisition.
Q. How do I know if you are visiting my campus?
A. All of our events can be found in the Campus Events section of this website. This information is updated periodically. If you do not see your university or college listed, please inquire with your campus careers service office for further information.
Q. How do I contact someone on the talent acquisition team?
A. If your query is related to graduate recruitment, please email firstname.lastname@example.org. For all other recruitment inquiries contact email@example.com.
Q. What do I do if I applied some time ago and haven’t received any feedback on my application?
A. We may have already been trying to contact you via email; however, the emails may not be reaching you. Check your email spam folder for any emails from us. Add ‘@bakerhughes.com’ to your email safe list. You can also check the status of your application at any time by logging into the system using your username and password and going to My Job Page.
